Spicy Dishes That Indonesian Teenagers Like

Indonesia has many types of dish, which is a favorite for Indonesian teenagers is the spicy taste. The spicy taste is favorite because it will make their tongue twirl in flaming delight. The sensation when eating spicy dishes are the best thing for them. Normally, they buy and eat when meeting with friends after back from school or in leisure.

The spicy dishes that Indonesian teenagers like, such as; Seblak, Rujak, Ceker Mercon, Baso Aci, and so on. Don’t worry, all of them is only around Rp 25.000 (1.79 USD), there are many sellers who even offer the lower prices. Based on the facts, those are street foods which viral from several cities.

Seblak originated from Bandung, a unique ingredient is ‘kerupuk basah’ (wet crackers) combined with many additions. Over the year, Seblak has became viral and people have made many types of it such as; Seblak Ceker, Seblak Bakso, Seblak Sosis, and so on.

Rujak is the traditional dish which made from mixture vegetables and fruit combined with ‘sambal’. It easy to find in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore (but with the name rojak).

Ceker Mercon (spicy chicken’s feet) is known originate from Yogyakarta. Even though it is only chicken’s feet but teenagers really enjoyed to eating it.

In the last, Baso Aci originated from Garut. The name is similar to ‘Bakso’ (meatballs) but it is not mixed with meat. However, it made from ‘aci’ (flour).

The spicy taste has become viral in Indonesia, most of teenagers are consumed it everyday. Unfortunately, spicy taste has bad effect if we consume it in big amount. It can effects on our stomach health.

Eating spicy food is said to increase the acidic secretions in your stomach which over a period can damage the inner linings of the stomach.
